My program offers a little of everything, from structured learning time to creative free play.  I believe that children need to be given "controlled freedom".  They need to be allowed to make their own discoveries and will learn best when they do things hands on.  In today's society so many things are structured for our children so when they are given free time they don’t know how to use it. By my theory of "controlled freedom" I have things structured yet they control where we take our program.  Especially during the school year I don’t want your child to feel overwhelmed by the influence of adults. One issue many family daycare providers run into is dealing with age differences and learning. I give the older children the opportunity to become leaders and showcase their own strengths by helping the younger children. I will work with your child individually to find out what his/her strengths are and work to develop them.

Additionally, I will use a “Show, Share & Wear” technique.  Depending on the theme for that day, each child is invited to show us a special toy or talent, share a story or picture, or wear an item in relation to the theme.  See the currently available calender below.
